- Cylinder (CYL): If present, this number represents the amount of power needed to correct an astigmatism. The axis indicates the number of degrees of correction needed.
- Prism: In cases of eye alignment problems, this number represents the amount of power needed to correct them.
Your prescription should also tell you your pupillary distance in millimeters. It may be a single value, showing the distance between the centers of your pupils, or two values, showing the distance from the center of your nose to the pupil on each side. We accept both types of measurements.
