Ordered a pair of glasses last Saturday from Eye Mart in Cedar Park. The primary reason for this decision was their large window display stating glasses ready the same day. Looked at numerous frame options and then met with a representative to select lens specifications and completed the order, but only to find out the glasses would take 5-7 days. Well today was the 5th day so I called them up and was assured the lenses had arrived and needed to be fit with the frames and they would be ready by 7:00pm closing for pickup. At 5:09pm they called me and said the lenses did indeed arrive, but there was an error and the lenses would need to be reordered. I inquired what the error was and they stated their equipment calibration was off and the lenses didn’t fit the frames after being cut. I asked how long it would take to get new lenses and she said the same as before, 5-7 days. I stated that they should escalate this to a rush order since San Antonio is only 1.5 hours away from Austin where the lenses are shipped from. They refused to take ownership of their technical error and provide excellent customer service by escalating the delivery of a 2nd set of lenses. Poor service in the end!! Now instead of same day service we’re looking at 10+ days assuming they don’t have another error in calibration.
